Norma Garcia is a distinguished leader in the entertainment industry, with extensive experience spanning motion pictures, home entertainment, television, premium cinema technology, and ethical artificial intelligence (AI). Her career includes pivotal roles such as Head of International Marketing at Lucasfilm, where she managed global strategies for iconic franchises including Star Wars, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Red Tails, and Indiana Jones. At Paramount Pictures, she directed international marketing efforts for renowned series franchises, such as The Godfather and Mission: Impossible. Norma played a crucial role in launching Dolby Cinema worldwide and enhancing the premium cinema experience at THX.
Currently, Norma is expanding her expertise by pursuing advanced studies in AI at Stanford University, focusing on its ethical application within the entertainment sector. Her commitment to ethical AI reflects a dedication to aligning technological innovation with our values. Recognized as one of the Top 50 Women Leaders in San Francisco and Top 50 Women in Global Cinema, Norma actively mentors young women through initiatives like Women in Exhibition and the UNIC Women’s Leadership Program. She is a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and also serves on the boards of the Poppy Jasper International Film Festival and Women in Consumer Technology. Norma holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.
